July 2019 BLOG INCOME REPORT
Another month gone by.

This month was very similar to last month.
Traffic was a little higher and I made another $500+ for the 4th month in a row!
It may not be much money, but it is a huge accomplishment when considering how I started (months making pennies and a total of $220 my first year).
I hope my blogging income reports will encourage you to consider pursuing blogging as a side hustle. Be warned, it’s not a get rich quick scheme by any means. It takes a lot of time, work, dedication, and continued learning.
If you’re a blogger who has been blogging for awhile and NOT seeing results I urge you to keep on going.
July 2019 BLOGGING STATS
Traffic: 25,713 33,806 pageviews
My pageviews are slowly climbing despite the summer slump.
Moving forward I am going to work on making more pins as I have come to the realization that I make way too few. This should hopefully give me an even bigger bump in traffic.
However, I am super happy with how much my organic has started to grow since taking Stupid Simple SEO. I started in May.

I had 400+ new Pinterest followers this month. Gaining 10k followers doesn’t seem like such a fantasy after all.
Instagram…So the funny thing is I have started to post more frequently and engage more on their platform and I actually lost followers. Now I plan on posting more for fun than with the intention of gaining followers.

TAILWIND
I use Tailwind to look at my stats and Tailwind tribes was what helped me get over 1,000 page views a day. You don’t need to have Tailwind to get a ton of traffic, but the time it saves me has been used to create new content and pins so I find it to be well worth the money.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Thanks to Mike Pearson’s SEO course I have been featured on several sites and scored several backlinks, which will eventually raise my Domain Authority.
If you’re struggling to get traffic to your site or frustrated with the ups and downs of Pinterest, you should check it out.
I didn’t mention this in my last income report, but now it doesn’t matter.
I was interviewed by The Wall Street Freaking Journal for a post! I totally geeked out, but sadly they didn’t use my input (they may use it on another post in the future). *Fingers crossed* Either way it was a really fun experience.
Now that I am diversifying my blog traffic I am going to focus on diversifying my income before the holidays get here. Affiliate income has been lacking from the get-go and I can’t keep putting off learning it any more.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I had an amazingly fun time on my girls’ trip. We went paddle boarding, kayaking, played games, drank and just caught up. It was a great mental break 🙂
I’m in the process of making some fun no spend/savings calendars for my readers, which I am very very excited about.
I started drafting some holiday post outlines. You see, in the blogging world you need to be a few months ahead and last year I was definitely not prepared.
In non-blogging news, I’ve gotten even better at automating our finances. By the end of next month we will have maxed out my husband and my own Roth IRA and finished building our emergency fund.
