Frugal Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
My mom is not a gardener, yet every year she got stuck with a plant that would surely die. Our school always had a Mother’s Day plant sale.
The ceramic figurines we got her were like the ones you could get at the Dollar Store.
Now that I’m a mom I laugh at most of the gifts we got her. Some were so ridiculous that only a mother could love them.

Because people have a hard time figuring out what to get their mom, wife, grandma, or mother figure in their life I put together an affordable Mother’s Day gift guide for all budgets that she will want.
The majority of the Mother’s Day gift guides that come out each year are ridiculously expensive and honestly most of the gifts are, for the lack of a better word, useless.
Seriously, why would I buy my mom a 12 pack of socks for over $100?! If I wanted to buy socks I’d get them for a fraction of the cost somewhere else.
I know my mom. If I spent a lot of money on her Mother’s Day gift, especially something frivolous, she would be mad >_< which is why most of the time I bake her a delicious dessert like chocolate cake (she loves sweets), take her out or make her dinner, or take her on vacation with us.

5) Custom Infinity Birthstone Bangle
I don’t think it’s worth spending too much on custom jewelry unless it’s made of gold or silver. This bracelet is a great price and will go well with any outfit.
6) Dear Mom Mug
Mugs are boring, but this one is hilarious! 😉
Again, my mom is not a gardener, but succulents are practically impossible to kill and would look so adorable in this mini planters.

1) Two piece printed cotton pajama set
Mom pajamas don’t have to be boring! I love pajamas that are soft and comfy. These come in a few different prints.
Vases are the perfect Mother’s Day gift to go with fresh cut flowers. This crystal one is elegant and in my opinion timeless.
If you plan on spending more on a vase, like $100, consider going to Tiffany’s & Co.
Wait! Hear me out. I’ve bought a crystal vase from them twice, both under $100 each and the look on each person’s face when they see that turquoise bag is priceless.
3) Extra Large Spa Gift Basket
Being a mom, self-care is so important, but something that is often neglected.
If a gift certificate to a local spa for a massage, mani/pedi isn’t in the budget then this is a good affordable Mother’s Day gift alternative.
4) Loungefly
I’m just gonna say it even though I know I’m biased. Moms are bada**es.
Loungefly has all kinds of purses, bags, and wallets with fund designs. Their stuff has mainly 4.5-5 star reviews and if you look through their stuff you’ll see why.

Family photos are a great gift for Mother’s Day.
With a digital photo frame you can give her hundreds of photos without the bulkiness of a photo album. No need to pick just one favorite picture, include them all.
3) Echo Spot
At first this looks just like an alarm clock, but it’s far more than that. It plays audiobooks, music, you can listen to the weather, news, call people, etc.
But, what’s even cooler is you can hook it up to the other devices in your home to dim your house lights, lock the doors, and monitor the front door.
4) Tablet
A tablet is a gift that appeals to people of all ages. My kids love pressing buttons, watching show, and playing games on our tablet.
The mom of a coworker of mine is about 80 years old and she loves her tablet. She uses it to play Candy Crush, watch her shows, and Facetime her family.
There are so many brands available. Do your research and find one that fits into your budget.
